Like a pulsating heart, the streets of 19th century London beat with the flood of citizens who are its lifeblood. Art, music and fashion all weave together to create an extraordinary image of life, as it races toward modernity.
But London is a city with two faces, only reunited at night, when murders and mysteries are as thick as the swirling fog. Amongst the aristocracy and the industrious bourgeoisie, the struggling poor and the British Royals, sidle killers. Murderers with no mercy and no fear. Crime is on the rise, and there are only a few who can stop it.
While Queen Victoria looks on, the best of Scotland Yard join forces with Sherlock Holmes and other detectives, all desperate to put a stop to such murderers as the Scarlet Rose and Jack the Ripper.
But many have their eyes closed to the trail of inexplicable cases, blinded by wealth or ignorance. Whats more, as the rich have only interest in parties, fine wine and good food, the poor are starving and clashes are becoming inevitable.
As the blood in the veins of London begins to boil, everyone has a part to play. From aristocrats to idle citizens, from the poor to Scotland Yard, the world is about to become something dangerous and wild.
