Overview:
Eli is the kind of person you would expect at times to be curled up in the midst of some quiet library with his nose stuck in some new bestseller that just hit the shelves. Other times though it seems like he's just one of those kids who rolls with the flow of things. True, he does come off as one of those late great stoner kids with his soft voice and reserved nature, but in all reality he is actually quite thoughtful. He takes things into consideration, acting only after he's thought things through several times; a trait that comes in handy when dealing with his two best friends. He isn't the type of person to just get up one day and decide to go jump off some cliff into the ocean, but at the same time knows how to have fun and joke around. Can he be silly? Sure! Give him some Nerds and an old Beatles record and he will practically light up in excitement.
He does have a side to him when it comes to life after high school. Sure, he was lucky and landed the job at the record store, but as much as he loves music and is close to something like that, he wants more. He's determined he's going to make it, whether it's playing at stadiums or downtown in Coral Ridge, he doesn't care. He is passionate about music and will do whatever it takes to keep his dreams alive and well.

[/size]Overview:
Born into the midst of an already struggling marriage, Elijah Caleb Park seemed to be the glue that held the couple together, though all good things must come to an end sometime. He wasn't suppose to be born, his mother unable to have children but as fate likes to twist things around along came Eli and well for a while there things seemed normal. He grew up in Coral Ridge, attending preschool and later on elementary school living the normal life of one of those in the area. It was when he turned six that things fell apart and out went his mother, leaving him and his father to fend for themselves. Luckily for them his father held a corporate position in the downtown district, but that meant Eli had to become a latch key kid of sorts due to late nights at the office. Struggling with his mother's disapperance and his father's inability to comfort the child, Elijah slowly turned inwards, relying on music and writing to keep himself occupied and expressing his inner thoughts.
It was his tenth birthday when his father finally listened up and bought the boy a bass guitar. Elijah had never been happier. Day and night he played the thing until his father begged for him to go to sleep. It filled the void in his heart slightly, but it wasn't enough to fully cure it. Exit stage left and into age twelve where he met the two people that could fill the void better than he thought. Isabella and Alex, two aspiring musicians themselves and some of the best friends a guy like Eli could ever hope for.
Thus life carried on. Eli grew up, outgrowing some of his hold traits and replacing them with new ones thanks to the help of his best friends. He formed a band with Izzy and Alex, playing cover songs and the few original bits they wrote over the years in their garages, hoping one day things would take off. Now a junior in High School, Eli's weeknights and weekends are spent bouncing between his job at the local record shop "Disc 'N' Dat" over in the mall, parties with Izzy and Alex, playing music, and pent up in his room listening to old Beatles records.

Roleplay Sample:(Dont know if I need to do this again but just in case!)
Every night it was the same thing; Come in at five, set the stage, play until two in the morning with two breaks, and then a beer at the bar. Oh the life of a struggling musician. In reality though, he found quite a bit of joy out of it. He was already prone to staying up late and waking up still at nine every morning thanks to the half a year stretch in Nashville, not to mention that he did it so much through out his youth that really it was a part of him now. Still, there were times where he would catch himself sleeping in and completely loathe the fact that he did. It always made him feel like he was wasting time that could have been used figuring out new songs and ways to get him back on top like he desperately wanted.
Still every night he was called here, and every morning he arose in the back room on that little cot that the manager was kind enough to give him. Jeremy breathed in as he pressed the cigarette to his lips again. He lucked out on this place. He made a pretty decent paycheck here and even got room and board out of it, though of course a hefty cost was taken out of his check each week. Still, it beat Nashville and definitely beat Long Island by a long shot. He sighed, allowing the smoke to escape his lungs, pouring from his lips as it twist and turned in the air, rising above his head.
The footsteps grew closer and before he realized it a blonde girl stood beside him. A soft smile twitched across his lips as he looked over at her, taking in her image with his green eyes. She looked familiar, like he had seen here in this place several times, but then again they were in a beach-side city and no offense to her but half the people here were blonde it seemed. She spoke, complimenting him on his work as he took a swig out of the beer bottle. "Oh...erm thanks." The man spoke up half confused. It had been years since he had received a compliment like that, but never the less it cause that soft smile upon his lips to turn into a full forced grin. The feeling was just how he remembered, causing his stomach to light ablaze slightly. "I appreciate it." He added giving a nod slightly in her direction before turning back to the cigarette and pressing it to his lips once more.
"So do you have a name? Or are you 'just a girl'?" Jeremy questioned, a slight chuckle escaping from his throat as he turned fully to give her his attention. She probably wouldn't get the reference he made in the question, but then again this place seemed to be full of surprises.
