Overview:
Jeremy Hargrove sparks up several words depending on who you are talking to. If you were visiting in Long Island things like junkie, thief, liar, or even asshole might be tossed about along with some hateful banter on his lifestyle choices. Sadly this was never Jeremy's intention to be called such things, but we will elaborate on that later. What those who remember what the real Jeremy was like, well the words change drastically. Sweetheart, charming, loyal. These now take the forefront in not only the past minds but also in Jeremy today as he stands in Coral Ridge.
Overall, Jeremy is a nice guy, but he isn't a push over either. Being a musician and all; he does have a bit of narcissism in himself leading him to get cocky or a little vain over certain things, but they never seem to stay on the forefront too long. His real problem lays with his pride and temper, both of which get the best of him at times, yet allows him to stand up for himself. He can be quick to react over stuff and sometimes finds himself getting worked up over some of the littlest things.
On the other hand, he is quite reserved upon first meetings, and normally won't speak up unless spoken to. This drastically changes on stage when he performs, finding comfort in music and enabling him to act outgoing and a little silly at times. Don't let that scare you off, once he warms up to you he's quite the charmer and a very loyal friend, and eventually he gets to that point of being silly and outgoing.

[/size]Overview:
Jeremiah Chase Hargrove was born and raised in Centereach, NY right smack dab in the middle of Long Island. His childhood wasn't anything out of the ordinary. He had a father and mother who loved him dearly, and an eccentric grandmother whom was a country singer back in Kentucky way late in the day. Together the four of them were one big happy family, or at least so it seemed. Jeremy's father walked out on the family when he was nine, prompting the first life changing event. He was just old enough to grasp the concept of what was happening, and even though his father wasn't far away, that connect did get severed to a high degree. This prompted his mother running off to work at a local grocery and his grandmother to babysit him.
Years came and went. Slowly he grew, passing from grade school to middle school where he enlisted in the school band and eventually got a hold of his first guitar thanks to some money his grandmother had put back for him. It was purple, and slightly dinged up with a girl band sticker on the base of it, but he didn't care. He loved the thing and played it night and day until his fingers were sore. More years passed and the boy was ushered into high school where he met Tanner and Jace, his first two band mates. Together they formed a small cover band and played in his garage, even stepping out some and playing at a local pizza place, but never more than that. Summers and Winters were spent with hour and a half drives into Brooklyn so he could see his favorite bands play and hang out with his friends until the night turned into day.
So what happened to him? What prompted his move from a happy life to the one he was living now in Coral Ridge? Well it all started with life after high school. He graduated from Centereach High and went to start schooling at Five Towns College just twenty minutes away from home. There he spent the first year studying until he met Austin and the rest of his friends that would eventually form into "Contradiction". Eighteen and wanting so badly to have his name in lights, Jeremy joined with them on guitar and vocals leading the band. Weekends were spent once again in Brooklyn, playing in small bars and venues in hopes of making it big. Slowly, they started to become the hottest band on the local scene, and after two years of playing their hopes and dreams started to come true as they were asked to sign to a local label. Something stood in the way though. Back then, Jeremy had a bit of a weight issue, being the biggest guy on the stage. The fans didn't care, and neither did the girls he seemed to attract, but the label cared and wanted him to change. Torn about it, Austin handed him some pills one day and told him to start taking them, that it would not only help with his weight, but also make him feel a bit perkier on stage. Wanting desperately to keep this dream alive, Jeremy went with it and thus he spiraled slowly into addiction. It started with speed, which for the first few months allowed him to perform better on stage and drop some of the weight, but that wasn't enough for Jeremy. He had to be the rockstar, the front image for this band. He hopped from that into cocaine, and deeper he went until finally one day he broke. Strung out in the studio, and skinner than he needed to be, Jeremy broke down. His final hoorah began after the band sat him down and told him he had a problem. Of course to him he didn't, but deep down he knew, and with that he went into a fit of rage causing him to get into a fight with Austin and his departure from the band.
Did he ever get help? He did eventually. He wound up in rehab a few months after at the age of twenty-three, kicking the addiction though he found comfort in cigarettes. Feeling bad and not wanting to be in anymore shame than he already was, Jeremy picked up his bags and moved. He landed in Nashville for a bit, playing shows here and there until he heard about Coral Ridge.
A month ago he moved down here, landing himself a spot on stage at one of the local dive bars playing cover songs for the tourist. It was a fresh start, and a start he desperately needed, though it came with a price.

Roleplay Sample:
Jeremy stood out back behind "Rusty's" bar, cigarette pressed against his lips as he leaned back against the concrete wall of the establishment. He breathed in deeply, allowing the smoke to fill his lungs for a short moment before he breathed it back out again, just in time to speak up to one of the cooks that was calling his name as he approached the stairs. "Hey Jeremy" The male spoke, giving a nod as he started to climb the stairs. A soft smile trickled across his face as he nodded, "Hey Tony, you comin' in now?" He responded before placing the cigarette back up against his lips. The cook, adorned in black chef attire laughed and shook his head. "Unfortunately yes, Rusty is losing his mind. Might have been a bad idea to jump on ship." The cook chuckled a bit before heading inside, leaving the man alone once more. Jeremy sighed slightly, allowing the thick smoke to escape his lungs once more. He didn't care whether or not this place flopped. He was thankful that he had a job, and more importantly a roof over is head even though it was a rather shabby one. Still, this place hold more opportunity than he could shake a stick at and that was alright for him. The cigarette left his finger tips, dropping on the ground as he turned to head back inside.
